Salamz and Hi,

Firstly, they should rephrase the event from "Charity Walk" to "Charity Skate".

Thehe, good business for Skateline. They'll be a lot of skaters burning their wheels along the 4.5 km stretch route. Anyways, I don't think my recreational 80mm 82A K2 skate wheel is suitable for this long distance skating. Need something as minimum as 86mm~90mm wheels or onwards to skate this distance comfortably.

Or heck, maybe I'll just fill up the form and skate just like I usually do. Hahaha. See you guys.

Notes: October SNS is on 18th Oct and this Charity Walk is on 19th Oct (the next day). Don't you think both events are quite cramp up together? Assuming some skaters wanted to go for both events, we don't want be exhausted on 19th Oct due to the SNS the night before.

Lets be frank here,

Those wheels can last way longer than expected. 76A. THATS soft. 82A is considerably hard ENOUGH. I know one skater who is still using a very old solomon skates with 78A/78mm wheels. And she has skated with us almost every sunday. she did the 2005 24 Skate non stop for 2 hours. ( Covered the distance of 28km ). And she has not changed her wheels before. Guess how her wheels lasts? She has a very good striding technique and she does not drag her skates while skating. Also she maximises the usage of her heel brakes. And she has a 78A ( 80A if i'm wrong. ) I know plenty of skaters who have your range of wheels and they're still alive. Also to add. any sizes will be usable for skating. We've had aggresive skaters who joined us last year at the PJ half. Their wheels are 56mm by the way. Thats relatively small.

We've always had this thing going for us. I my self. Along with many other skaters have done a SNS the day before of a marathon. Like last year, we did the PJ half, and had a SNS the night before. ( Also to add, work right after the morning skate ), Considering the facts. 4.5KM isn't really long. Quite effortless to tell the truth.

4.5km is nothin.
You guys that whinge, should try doing some marathon ie 42km. ;)
Then you will know how it really feels. :o
Most people skate on 80mm, a few even done them in quads.

There are a few marathons in Europe, but not sure abt Asia.
I think there is some in China.

Good luck to you guys that are taking part.
